What cookies do here
Cookies in plain terms
What the site stores, and why
What cookies are
When a website sets a cookie, it is asking your browser to remember a short line of text. Local storage does the same job under another name. Either way, the point is that a choice you made once need not be asked for again on every visit.
Consent is off by default
Every optional category starts out refused, which is how consent signals are meant to work. The accept button in the notice records a yes. A no, or no answer at all, means that nothing which counts or follows visitors is loaded, and each page looks and behaves the same either way.
Analytics tags
The pages are ready to work with measurement tags, but those tags do not run unless you accept the notice. We would use them only to learn which pages are read, and never to follow an individual visitor from one site to another.
Kinds of item we use
We use two items, and the site cannot sensibly do without them: a record that you said you are eighteen or older, and a record of what you answered in the cookie notice. A third group, put there by the map provider on the contact page, is not ours.
The items by name
- 90b80e-av: stored in local storage, it records that you confirmed you are eighteen or over, and it is kept until you clear your browser data.
- cookies_a1b231: stored in local storage, it records your answer to the cookie notice, and it is kept until you clear your browser data.
- Map provider items: set by the embedded map on the page of opening hours, outside our control, and kept for the period the provider chooses.
The map on the contact page
The page of opening hours includes a map that loads at once from a third-party provider, before any choice is made. The provider may leave cookies of its own as soon as the map shows, and they are beyond our reach. Anyone who prefers not to receive them can avoid that page or switch off third-party cookies; the street address is also written out beside the map.
Lifetimes and your control
Our two items last until you remove them, which you can do in your browser's settings at any time. Doing so brings back the age question and the cookie notice at your next visit. Private windows forget everything when they close. Nothing you do affects a reservation you have already made.
