Directions

Choose the route that suits you

  1. From the Dawson Highway

Follow the Dawson Highway into the centre of Biloela and turn into Kariboe Street at the lights. The house is a highset timber building on the left, and the verandah lamps are visible from the corner.

  2. From the town centre

Walk or drive along the main street, turn at the second corner and the house is a short distance on the right. It takes about five minutes on foot, and the footpath is level and well lit.

  3. Parking at the kerb

Kerbside spaces run along the front of the building and are free. On Thursday and Sunday there is generally space outside the verandah steps. On Friday and Saturday they fill by half past six.

  4. Parking beside the verandah

A small car park lies beside the building, reached from the side street. It is lit throughout the evening, and a gate at the rear leads straight to the front hall.

  5. Arriving by taxi

Ask for Kariboe Street and the verandah lamps. If you need to book a taxi for the journey home, ring the front desk and Alana Curtis will arrange it, and you may wait in the front hall.

  6. With a wheelchair or pram

A ramp at the western end of the verandah leads to the front door, and the dining room is on one level. Prams and wheelchairs reach every table, and the front room is entered through a wide doorway.

  7. Travelling from the valley

Allow a little extra time on the highway after dark, when wildlife is on the move. The house is well lit, and guests who live a long way out are welcome to ring ahead to be sure their table is held.

  8. Arriving late

Ring the front desk if you are held up, and we shall keep your table for a little longer than fifteen minutes. After that it may pass to the waiting list, but we shall find you another.

  9. Leaving at night

The verandah and the car park are lit until the last guest has left. A member of staff will walk with you to your car on request, and Alana will ring for a taxi if you would prefer not to drive.
